Less than half hour and there is great prognosis, 30-60 minutes and there is a great probability of successful re-implantation. More time you take to reach the dentist and the prognosis goes down significantly. If the tooth is dirty, don't clean or scrub it. Your dentist will do that for you. There is a chief tissue on the root of the tooth which assists in the healing process.
4 :- Don't panic. Dentists have access to wonderful technology for saving and replacing tooth and teeth structures which will make it look just as it was before you met the accident.
By taking the proper safety measures instantly when a tooth gets knocked out you will increase the chances of successful reimplantation of the tooth significantly. Keep in mind the sooner you get the tooth back in the socket the higher the success rate.
